Dear Sisters,
We have a washing machine that we are replacing. It is a seven-year old, Kenmore front-loader and is mostly very serviceable. On occasion the door locking mechanism won't work. Then a few days later it will work. We had the door lock replaced a year ago. The part is about $50. Replacing that part again may or may not solve the problem. If anyone needs a washing machine and would like to take on this adventure, please let me know. We have a pick-up truck and can take it to your house, but will probably take it to the recycle center if we don't hear from anyone by Tuesday or Wednesday (1/17 or 1/18). Please contact me directly.
